It has a population of around 21,000 people and is situated about 10 miles south-west of Birmingham city centre. During Tudor times much development took place with many new houses being erected along Church Street which became known as Brick Lane due to its abundance of brick buildings - one such building still stands today (built c1825) at No 1 Church Street; this once served as both a public house called The Bull Inn & later as an ironmongers shop before finally becoming vacant some years ago). By 1851 there were already over 100 businesses operating in what was then considered only a small village but sadly most have now closed down or moved away leaving little trace behind other than memories! Today’s economy revolves largely around services although agriculture continues to play an important role especially given its close proximity to major food production areas like Worcestershire and Warwickshire; furthermore tourism also contributes significantly towards regional GDP accounting for approximately 7% nationally according to VisitEngland statistics . Despite recent economic challenges faced by many towns/villages throughout Britain , Tyseley appears relatively unscathed compared with others owing mainly perhaps to its strong historical roots coupled with ongoing regeneration initiatives spearheaded principally by local volunteers working together under various community organisations e.g.; Rotary Club etc...
